Check my website's compliance

Written by Alexandre Dias Da Silva

Because compliance is no joke and we know very well that staying on the right path is ongoing work, our latest batch of gems offers you the ideal tool to monitor the compliance of your trackers 🔒 !

And effortlessly at that 💪 ! (yes because let's be honest, cookies we prefer to eat than to monitor 😜)

If you don't have an Axeptio account yet, you can launch a scan from our website.

How so?

Thanks to 2 magical features of the Tracker Audit

👉 the programmable audit 🕵️

👉 compliance report generation 📑

The programmable audit 🔎

An essential tool for sustainable compliance, the programmable scan of the Tracker Audit allows you to monitor the proper management of your site's cookies thanks to systematic monitoring and the instant generation of a compliance report. Report available both on your back office and also directly in your email inbox and that of your collaborators.

Launch and schedule an audit:

  1. Enter your project.

  2. Click on the "Shake - Cookie Scanner" tab.

  3. Click on "Schedule a new scanner" > fill in the various fields.

  1. What is the scan name? : enter the name you wish to give to your scanner.

  2. What is your site's URL? : this is the site that will be audited, this field is automatically filled with the URL entered when creating the project (but you can change it if you wish 😉).

  3. Scan subdomains : check this box if your site has subdomains that you wish to include in the audit.

  4. Scan frequency : choose the launch scenario for your scan - Now = just once - Every day = every day starting tomorrow around 1am - Every week = every Monday around 3am - Every month = each 1st of the month around 3am

  5. Click on "Confirm".

Options: "Send results to emails" 📩

👉 find your audit report directly in your email inbox and have it sent to your collaborators by simply entering the email addresses you wish.

In any case, you will receive an email at the end of each scan — whether it was successful or encountered an error — so you are always informed of your audit's status.

The data displayed on your back office:

Once your scans are scheduled and launched, here is all the information that appears on your back office 👇

Last scanner : provides a quick overview of your latest audit's result

🍪 Categories : categories of third-party services identified (marketing, CRM, analytics, tracking, chat...)

🍪 Third-party services found : total number of third-party cookies found on the site.

🍪 Non-compliant third-party services : total number of cookies that are being placed without consent when they should require it. Check that these cookies are properly listed in your widget and review the conditions for their placement on your site. We explain how to do this in our article right 👉 here 👈

🍪 Unknown third-party services : number of cookies and third-party services detected on the site but not recognized by our auditor. For these items, we recommend treating them with caution and verifying their nature and placement conditions.

Scheduled scans : list of the different scans you have scheduled and that will launch recurrently according to the frequency you chose.

You can pause or delete this scan by clicking the pause ⏸ and trash 🗑 buttons. You can also see the scan details and edit it by clicking the arrow ➡️.

Scanner history : global view of all completed or in-progress scans.

You can see the details by clicking directly on the line, delete it via the trash icon 🗑, or even download its content in PDF or XLS format 🔁.

Compliance report generation ✅

As you will have understood, when a scan of your site is performed, it automatically generates an audit report that you can:

👉 Download directly in PDF or XLS from your back office:

👉 And/or receive directly by email:

You will find in this report the list of third-party services (cookies) detected on your site with a classification by category containing:

  • a description of the category itself

  • a description of the detected service

  • an indication of its compliance status

The objective of this report is to allow you not only to constantly monitor the compliance of your site's third-party service management but also to have a tool at your disposal that indicates which areas to focus on to comply with current regulations 🤗
