In some cases, our technical team may need access to your Google Tag Manager (GTM) container in order to:

  • Check or adjust your configuration

  • Diagnose a potential issue

  • Run a series of tests using Tag Assistant

This access is temporary and can be revoked at any time.

✅ Steps to grant us access

  1. Log in to Google Tag Manager

  2. Select the correct container, then in the top menu, click Admin

  3. In the right-hand column (the container column), click User Management

  4. Click + > Add users, then:

    • Enter the email address provided to you by Axeptio

    • In the Container-level permissions section, select at least Edit (to allow us to test and adjust tags if necessary)

    • Confirm the invitation

You can remove this access once our intervention is complete.

🔒 Why do we need Edit access?

This allows us to use Google Tag Assistant to simulate events, test tag triggers, and verify that Consent Mode or Axeptio is functioning correctly within your configuration.

Without this access, our analysis would be limited to what we can observe from your website.
