When you create your Axeptio widget, you can offer it in multiple languages. But be careful: one language can be linked to multiple regulations. And that's where it gets interesting!
Look at these screenshots below 👇 :
In these two examples, we choose the language "English", but the regulatory context differs depending on the region:
🇪🇺 English – Europe : the configuration will apply GDPR.
🇨🇦 English – Canada (Quebec) : it will be Law 25.
🇺🇸 English – United States : here, CCPA applies.
✅ Why is this important?
Because the language of the widget is not just a simple translation choice.
It also allows you to automatically associate the correct regulation with your configuration.
Thus, you can create multiple configurations in English, each adapted to a geographic area and its legislation:
One configuration for your users in Europe → GDPR
One for your visitors in Canada → Law 25
Another for the US market → CCPA
⚠️ Key takeaway
When you select the language of the widget, be sure to check the geographic region associated with it in the dropdown list.
This allows you to remain compliant with local requirements, while providing a consistent experience to your international users.
