When you create your Axeptio widget, you can set it up in several languages. But be careful: a language can be linked to multiple regulations. And that’s where it gets interesting!

Take a look at these screenshots 👇

In both examples, the selected language is English, but the regulatory context depends on the region:

🇪🇺 English – Europe: the configuration will follow the GDPR.

🇨🇦 English – Canada (Quebec): this will apply Loi 25.

🇺🇸 English – United States: here, CCPA is the applicable regulation.

Why does it matter?

Because the widget language is not just about translation.
It also determines which regulation is automatically associated with your configuration.

This means you can create several English configurations, each tailored to a specific region and its legal framework:

  • One configuration for your users in Europe → GDPR

  • One for your visitors in Canada → Loi 25

  • Another for the US market → CCPA

⚠️ Remember

When selecting the widget language, make sure to check the associated region in the dropdown menu.

That way, you stay compliant with local laws while offering a consistent experience for your international users.
