Your Shake scan report indicates misconfigured services (🔴) or services with potentially specific configuration (🟡)? Here's how to fix them.
If you're not sure what these statuses mean, first consult How to interpret your Shake scan report.
Review your consent conditioning logic
In the vast majority of cases, a service is misconfigured because you have not properly managed the consent conditioning logic.
If you are using Google Tag Manager, verify that you have properly conditioned your service tag to consent.
If you load Axeptio "hard-coded", verify that you have properly added the conditioning logic to your code.
Properly manage specific services
Some services such as YouTube, Google Analytics, Google Ads, etc. require additional configuration. Check if yours is one of them.
Check which pages the service was found on
It only takes a service to be detected on 1 single page of your site for it to appear in the scan report.
To see which pages the service was detected on, open the XLSX file whose link you will find in the "Recommendation" section at the top of the "Misconfigured providers detected" box, then refer to column F "pages".
After making changes to your configuration, run a Shake scan again to verify that the service now appears as properly configured.
If you skipped steps during Axeptio's initial configuration, we invite you to go through our getting started guide again, and particularly the Cookie blocking section.
