Because we're not kidding when it comes to compliance, and because we know it's a lot of work to stay on the straight and narrow, our latest batch of Nuggets gives you the perfect tool to keep an eye on the compliance of your trackers 🔒 !
And effortlessly 💪! (yes, because let's face it, cookies, we'd rather eat them than monitor them 😜)
How it works?
Thanks to 2 magic features of the Compliance Inspector.
👉 programmable inspection 🕵️
👉 the generation of compliance reports 📑
Programmable inspection 🔎
An essential tool for sustainable compliance, Compliance Inspector's programmable inspection allows you to monitor the correct management of your site's cookies through systematic monitoring and the immediate generation of a compliance report. This report is available both in your back office and directly in your and your colleagues' inboxes.
Start and schedule an inspection:
- Enter your project
- Click on the icon ⚙️ > "Compliance Inspector".
- Click on "Schedule a new scanner" > Fill in the different fields
- Identifier: enter the name you want to give to your scanner
- Domain to scan: this is the website that will be scanned, this field is automatically filled with the URL entered when creating the project (but you can change it if you want 😉 )
Scanning frequency: select the scenario for starting your scan- Now = only once
- Daily = every day from the next day at 1am
- Weekly = every Monday at 3am
- Monthly = every 1st of the month at 3am
- Click on "Schedule scan".
"Create a new configuration in" 🪄
👉 choose the language FR or EN and generate a complete widget from the scan performed on your site (we explain everything in detail 👉 here 👈)
"Send results to emails" 📩
👉 find your compliance report directly in your mailbox and send it to your employees by simply filling in the desired email addresses.
The data is displayed in your back office:
Once your scans have been programmed and launched, here is all the information that will be displayed on your back office 👇.
Last scan: gives a quick overview of the result of your last scan
🍪 Categories: identified categories of third party services (marketing, CRM, analytics, tracking, chat...)
🍪 Third party services found: total number of third party cookies found on the site.
🍪 Non-compliant third-party services: total number of cookies that are set without consent when they should be. Check to see if these cookies are listed in your widget and check the state of their deposit on your site. We explain how to do this in our article just 👉 there 👈
🍪 Unknown third party services: number of cookies and third party services detected on the site but not recognized by our inspector. For these elements, we recommend that you treat them with vigilance and check their nature and state of deposit.
Scheduled scans: list of the different scans that you have programmed and that will be launched on a recurring basis according to the frequency that you have chosen. You can pause or delete this scan by clicking on the pause ⏸ and trash 🗑 buttons. You can also see the details of the scan and edit it by clicking on the arrow ➡️.
Scan history: global view of all scans made or in progress. You can see the details by clicking directly on the line, delete it via the recycle bin icon 🗑 or even download its content in PDF or XLS format 🔁.
Compliance report generation ✅
As you will have understood, when a scan of your site is performed, it automatically generates a compliance report that you can :
👉 Directly download in PDF or XLS from your back office :
👉 And/or receive it directly by email :
You will find in this report the list of third party services (cookies) detected on your site with a classification by category including :
- a description of the category itself
- a description of the detected service
- an indication as to its compliance
The objective of this report is to allow you not only to constantly monitor the compliance of the management of third party services on your site but also to have at your disposal a tool indicating on which axis to act in order to respect the regulation in force 🤗
