Page views 📑

A "Page View" corresponds to the event of opening or changing the URL on a given domain (excluding the hash fragment #..., but including the index page /).

A URL change may result from (but is not limited to):

  • Loading a new page by following a link, whether through a server-side or client-side (SPA) navigation

  • Reloading the current page, triggered by the user, the client, or the server

  • The URL change should be evaluated based on the window.location.pathname property.

Users 👀

The number of unique users over a given period. If a user returns during this period, they are counted only once.

New users 🤓

The number of users who have never been to the site before the analyzed period.

Consent rate (detailed for mobile and desktop) ✅

The percentage of users (overall | on mobile | on desktop) who fully or partially accepted cookies compared to all users who either accepted or refused cookies.

Interaction rate (detailed for mobile and desktop) 🤝

The percentage of users (overall | on mobile | on desktop) who interacted with the widget out of those who had the opportunity to do so. This includes new users and returning users who had never interacted with the widget before.

Opt-in rate (detailed for mobile and desktop) 👍

The percentage of users (overall | on mobile | on desktop) who accepted cookies compared to all users who had the opportunity to do so. This includes new users and returning users who had never interacted with the widget before. The opt-in rate equals the consent rate multiplied by the interaction rate.

Hits 📖

A “hit” is counted when a user’s browser requests our servers to download the Axeptio script. This count represents a fraction of the actual traffic because browsers cache our script.

This value was previously used to count the number of page views in the old version of statistics (previous calculation method). This metric now serves as a reference point for clients who subscribed to our services before the statistics update, as the pricing model was based on this figure.

Quick bounce rate (detailed for mobile and desktop) 🏌️‍♂️

The percentage of users who viewed only one page and left the site in less than 5 seconds.
