When implementing GDPR compliance and submitting your cookies for consent, you may notice fluctuations in your analytics data. Indeed, your website visitors may not all accept your cookies, however delicious they may be.
But at Axeptio we specialize in exceptional solutions and our expertise is acceptance, so we're not willing to compromise on the quality of your data even while being GDPR compliant! (and besides, we know how to make rhymes 🎶)
So we've prepared a few quick recipes to see your acceptance rate skyrocket and cookies flow in 💪 !
Recipe 1: Appearance Delay ⏱
Reduce the appearance delay of your widget, fast service and fresh cookies are often more successful!
Enter your project
Click on the "Integrate on your site" tab at the top of the screen
Scroll down to the "Opening Settings" section > the "Appearance Delay" window is the first one
The delay is expressed in milliseconds (ms) and you just need to reduce it as you wish !
Click on "Save and Close"
Click on "Publish" in the top right corner of your screen
Recipe 2: Drop Shadow 🌗
In cooking as elsewhere, presentation often accounts for 80% of the work. And since our widget is already wonderful, make it stand out with a beautiful shadow in the background!
Enter your project
Click on the "Customize the solution with your colors" tab at the top of the screen
Scroll down to the "Widget Style" section > then at the bottom "Drop Shadow"
Select "Custom Shadow"
Fill in the field that appears according to the CSS box-shadow property (example here 👈)
Click on "Save and Close"
Click on "Publish" in the top right corner of your screen
Recipe 3: Contextual Consent Wall
It's true that sometimes it can take more time to decide what types of nuggets you want, what size of cookies... So for the most hesitant of your visitors we do as in a restaurant, we give time for reflection and we come back to ask if the choice was made with the Contextual Consent Wall. That way, if the visitor doesn't interact with the widget right away, this screen will appear a little later by blocking navigation and requiring a choice to make it disappear. The Contextual Consent Wall can be triggered by clicking a link, after a delay and/or after a scroll distance.
Enter your project
Go to the "Contextual Consent Wall" section below your standard screens
Click on and select the Contextual Consent Wall
Return to your configuration, you should see a new section under "Contextual Consent Wall" > click on this new screen
Configure your settings as you did for the previous screens and define the appearance mode
Click on "Save and Close"
Click on "Publish" in the top right corner of your screen
