Grant access to your GTM to Axeptio

Temporarily grant access to our technical team so we can verify or adjust your GTM configuration.

Written by Alexandre Dias Da Silva

In some cases, our technical team may need to access your Google Tag Manager (GTM) container in order to:

  • Check or adjust your configuration

  • Diagnose a potential malfunction

  • Perform a series of tests via Tag Assistant

This access is temporary and can be revoked at any time.

✅ Steps to grant us access

  1. Log in to Google Tag Manager

  2. Select the correct container, then click Admin in the menu at the top of the page

  3. In the right column (the container one), click on User Management

  4. Click + > Add users, then:

    • Enter the email address provided to you by Axeptio

    • In the Container-level permission section, check at least the Edit box (to allow us to test and adjust tags if necessary)

    • Confirm the invitation

You will be able to remove this access once our intervention is complete.

🔒 Why do we need edit access?

This allows us to use Google Tag Assistant to simulate events, test tag triggering, and verify that Consent Mode or Axeptio is working properly in your configuration.

Without this access, our analysis would be limited to what we can observe from your website.
