Previously, you identified the cookies present on your website. If you haven’t done so yet, we invite you to read this article.

Any services identified as collecting personal data must be listed in your Axeptio consent banner. This allows users to know exactly which services are collecting their information and to give their consent before these services are activated.

Now that you know what cookies you need to declare, go back to your back office.
On this screen, there:

The best way to present your cookies is like going on a date, you have to go step by step.

And to do that, just add the right screens one after the other. We present them to you here 👇

  • The welcome screen 🌈

This one is not mandatory. But as you know, it's always nicer to say hello and introduce yourself. It always makes a better impression. The same goes for cookies ;) So little advice, don't neglect this screen, you only get one chance to make a good impression (especially in front of mother-in-law's face, so I've been told!).

  • The category screen 📍

Even though at Axeptio, we don't like to pigeonhole people, with cookies, it's different! Here, it's all about proudly presenting your services.

We invite you to create as many category screens as necessary (CRM, Advertising, Marketing...).

The goal: to be as transparent as possible!

  • The information screen 💡

Also called functional screen, it allows displaying a list of services not subject to the user's consent. This one has a little peculiarity, it has a countdown timer 💣, which allows it to scroll automatically!

3. Add cookies 🍪

Once you've created your various screens, all that's left to do is add your cookies!

  1. Select the “We present our cookies” screen.

  2. Click on “Add a new cookie” > our cookie library appears

  3. Search for your cookie by entering its name

  4. Select it by checking the box on the right then click on “Save and close” at the bottom of the screen

We provide you a multilingual database of the most common services.
Here is how to access it:

If the cookie you are looking for does not exist in our library, you can create a new one by clicking on “Create a cookie” :

⚠ At this stage, you’re not fully compliant yet. Sure, you’ve listed your services in the cookie banner, but one crucial step remains: managing how services are loaded based on the user’s consent (see next step).

Otherwise, you risk giving visitors the impression that they’re in control of cookies through the banner, when in fact, no personal data will actually be blocked if the user refuses the services. It would be like asking for their preferences… only to ignore them!

So make sure you implement this logic correctly to ensure that services are only activated once consent has been given.
