Keeping your project tidy? Totally underrated!
We strongly recommend setting up a clean, base configuration, and deleting any old or unused ones.
You can always create new configurations for testing or for setting up different languages. [Article here]
Previously, you identified the cookies on your website — if not, we encourage you to read the last section.
Any service that collects personal data must absolutely be listed in your Axeptio consent banner.
This helps your users clearly understand who is collecting their data and gives them the power to consent before anything gets triggered.
Create your widget steps
Now that you know which cookies you need to declare, let’s head back to your back office.
On this screen here:
🧡 The best way to present your cookies is like a good first date one step at a time 💕
And to do that, just stack the right screens one after another.
Here’s a quick overview 👇
👋 The welcome screen
This one’s optional, but hey ! saying hi and introducing yourself is always a nice touch! It makes a better impression.
Same goes for cookies. So don't skip it… You only get one shot at a good first impression (especially with the in-laws, or so we’ve heard!).
The category screen
We may not like putting people in boxes… but cookies are another story.
This screen is where you proudly present your services!Create as many category screens as you need (CRM, Advertising, Marketing…).
The goal: maximum transparency!
You can either:
Group all your cookies in a single screen ("Meet our cookies", for example)
Or split them across multiple pages if you have a lot ("Social Media", "Audience & Analytics")
👉 These pages directly affect how your purposes are displayed, so choose your screens wisely!
The info screen
Also called the “functional screen,” this one displays services that don’t require user consent.
Bonus: it includes a countdown timer 💣 that makes the screen auto-scroll. Neat, huh?
Now it’s time to fill out your pretty showcase. See you here
